SO YOU WANT TO BE AN “ESTHETICIAN”? (pronounced es`the-tish`en)
An esthetician/aesthetician is someone who specializes in cleansing, treating and beautifying the skin. As in our Cosmetology program, we waste no time in getting your hands “wet”.
In the first few weeks of school you’ll be performing many of the pampering services like facials and masks. And our curriculum is most advanced compared to other schools teaching this program and we spare “no expense”.
First, we only accept a small number of students per class so we can maintain a high level of personal instruction. Second, you’ll learn and perform all the popular services such as: peels, scrubs, body treatments, waxing, make-up and even microdermabrasion and hot stone therapy. This will allow you to work in not only salons, but in Day Spas and in the medical field for Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons. Third, students will train on the latest equipment.
We have six treatment rooms each with their own multi-function skin care machine, a waxing and dermabrasion room, (6) diamond tip dermabrasion units, (1) spray crystal dermabrasion unit, a shower and dressing room all in a relaxing atmosphere with the smell of aromatherapy oils. Fourth, as a leader in skin care education, (and the only school in Ohio) we join all our esthetician students in the largest skin care association in the country (Associated Skin Care Professionals) at no cost to you.
And by being a member you’ll be able to receive all of this:
>> ASCP Skin Deep. A bi-monthly, 32 page member publication provides information on techniques, ingredients, trends in the profession and more.
>> Fine Lines Student Newsletter. A bi-monthly publication focused on giving you more insight into the profession.
>> Online Tools. You can begin your marketing strategies while in school with customized client newsletters, graphic art and photos, brochure templates, and business website and more.
Once you graduate and want to join ASCP as a licensed esthetician, the amount we paid for you will be credited to your first year dues. Some of the benefits you may be eligible for now are: Liability insurance specifically designed for skin care professionals, online mentor resource center, Successful Business Handbook, advanced education resources and much more.
This dynamic curriculum along with our Best in Business management program all in a gorgeous state-of-the-art facility are just some of the reasons why successful salon owners call us almost every week looking to hire our graduates. Skin care is one of the fastest growing areas in the beauty and medical industry. A skin care expert (technically called an esthetician) uses techniques and products to help achieve and maintain healthy and attractive skin.
With your own experienced instructor, you’ll learn how to perform European facials, exfoliating salt scrubs, seaweed gel wraps, lightening, 4-layer, salicylic and organic peels, papaya and cranberry peel-off masks, waxing, make-up application and hot stone therapy. You’ll even learn and perform microdermabrasion! All offered at our popular spa school, with its peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.
Upon graduation, you can expect to be fully prepared to work in the finest spas, salons and in doctor’s offices.
Our Pledge: to our students in return for their personal sacrifice, dedication and hard work, we will pay your State Board application fee ($70.00 value) and will reimburse you ($100.00) to help pay for travel and lodging expenses when you test in Columbus. We are the “only” school in Ohio who does this.
